Ready, Set....

So here we go again!

I decided that I should get this blog set up prior to my departure to document the preparation process, and to get in the habit of writing consistently before I go.

This is the third time that I will be "moving" to Spain, (even though the first two times were a bit more temporary). I tried to keep up with blogging the first two times, but it didn't work out so well. Last summer I definitely got better at it, and now I'm determined to make this work!
Last summer, as I dabbled in blogging, I began to realize how important it was to sift through the happenings of daily life and to try to make sense of it all (or, at least, to realize that there is no making sense of it all). When I look back now on the things that I have written in the past, I am able to remember events more vividly, and emotions come alive again. I feel like blogging is like pushing a pause button; it allows me to (try to) capture a moment, an emotion, to try to let all of you see and know what I am experiencing. It's a tough task, but I think I'm up to the challenge.
