Anyway, I am still
You see, the package got held up in customs, and I had to go through a whole bunch of bureaucracy to figure out all of that jazz. (And we all know by now that Spanish bureaucracy isn't much of a party, right?) I got an email last Thursday (a week ago) that said that the package was freed from customs, and that Correos would be delivering it. But still no word. I think I might try to stop into the post office tomorrow to see if they have any info. I'm really anxious about it. Want to know why?

The girls that I teach on Monday and Wednesday asked me what the Wisemen brought me for Christmas. "Nothing." I said. "They didn't know that I was here."
"Oh." They replied. "So then what did Santa bring you?"
I told them that Santa brought a Kindle to my house in the United States, so my mom had to mail it to me. And I still haven't gotten it yet. (And no, they didn't know what a Kindle was.)

One of the teachers that I work with told me the best story.
She said that her daughter had asked for a video camera from the Wisemen this year. Her reasoning? "Well mom, if I ask the Wisemen for expensive things, we are really getting them for free."
What a clever, well-intentioned child!
